          Kid tricked the Inspector Nakamori and his forces yet again, and successfully stole another jewel. On his way home, the boastful young Kaito received anonymous call from the public phone. The caller mistaken Kaitou’s identity with Kid of the previous generation. He warned Kaitou not to go after gemstones anymore and threaten Kaitou’s life. Kaitou then visited Jii in the bar the old man ran to consult him about the matter but the old man was clueless. Jii then proceeded in showing Kaitou the props he gathered for Kid’s next show. He claimed to get them from a professor acquaintance. 

          Meanwhile at school the next day, Aoko subtly invites Kaitou to her birthday party and when asked of her desired present, Aoko wanted a cuff on Kid the Phantom Thief’s hands. She told him how preposterous Kid is, stealing for kicks – Kid returns the jewels after stealing them - just to laugh at Aoko’s father, Inspector Nakamori’s failed attempt to capture him. On the way home, Kaitou justifies his action to himself, claiming that he became Kid for the sake of finding his father’s murderer and his activities won’t stop until the murderer is caught.

           At the crime scene, Kid successfully stole Blue Birthday. Turns out, Inspector Nakamori purposely let him escape with the jewel so that he could track Kid’s hideout with the GPS embedded on the jewel. Kaitou, sure of his success, excitedly wanting to go to Aoko’s birthday party. However, his tracks were stopped when he was fired at by a group of men dressed in black who claimed that they have him killed 8 years ago but failed as Kid turns out to be alive. Cornered, Kid hands Blue Birthday over to them but secretly followed them to their lair. 

             Kid then learned that the group was looking for a stone, Pandora, in hope to gain eternal youth. The stone was supposedly hidden in another gemstone and the way to find it is to held the stone under the moonlight. If the stone glow a bright red from the inside, then they’ve gotten themselves the right one. Blue Birthday unfortunately was not the jewel they seek. Kaitou then declared to the group that he will find the jewel before them and when he does, he will break their eternal-youth gemstone that caused his father’s death.

            Meanwhile Aoko was depressed at Kaitou’s absence from her party. After everyone left, she received a call from Kaitou, asking her to look out the window. Aoko did as asked, and from her room she can see a tall building, black from the darkness of the night. Just then, the building was projected a birthday wish, then displaying a firework show, special for the birthday girl.
