Lasted for 25 mins, the show explained the events that happen to while Ying Zheng escape.

          Xin was angry thinking that everyone arounf him was glad of Ying Zheng’s life but none paid attention to Piao’s death. Minister Chang Wenjun then claimed that Piao wasn’t the only death but there were many more soldiers that joined him. Such were the case with war, he added. Still unable to control his emotion, Xin charged at the minister only to be knocked down by fellow army, Bi. When Xin woke up, he and Diao both saw how badly conditioned were all the other soldiers, but despite that, all of them were pleased that Ying Zheng survived. 

Kingdom [05] Unbroken Heart

Lasted for 25 minutes, the show peeks at the strength of Xin and General Wang Qi.

          The episode opened up with a continuation of Xin and Muta’s duel. Unable to accurately measure the strength of Muta, the overconfident Xin underestimated Muta, claiming his victory before the battle had even begun. Muta however, was skilled in hiding his strength. At Xin ridicule, Muta, filled with the pride of his tribe, unleashed his murderous intent, paralyzing part of Xin’s strength. Initially wanting to use his blowgun on Xin, Muta settled on battling with his axes instead to show Xin the strength of his tribe, Bessa Tribe. 

Kingdom [04] The King and the Sword

Lasted for 25 minutes, the episode briefly introduces the Mountain People.

          After the exhausting emotional and physical ride for a whole night, Xin fainted. Wanting to hurry to the rendezvous point with Minister Chang Wenjun, Ying Zheng initially wanted to leave Xin behind. However, at Diao insistent, he reluctantly carried Xin throughout the journey, stopping only when he was exhausted himself. Only after Xin finally awaken, they continued their journey, crossing rivers, climbing the mountains and through the woods. Unknown to the 3 escapees, Muta the assassin was hot on their trail. 

Kingdom [03] For a Friend

Lasted for 25 minutes, the episode explore deeper into Ying Zheng struggles.

He Liao Diao

          A young boy appeared in front of Xin and Ying Zheng, offering a way out. Xin expressed his distrust towards the unknown child, claiming that the boy was suspicious and that they shouldn’t trust strangers. Hearing this, the boy introduced himself as He Liao Diao. He informed them of his knowledge regarding a secret tunnel, which is known only to him. When Ying Zheng question his motive behind the generous help, he claimed to have heard their conversation – thus knowing Ying Zheng’s identity and demanded money in exchange for helping Ying Zheng. Ying Zheng immediately accepted Diao’s help, sure of the boy’s trustworthiness.

Kingdom [02] Fated Encounter

Lasted for 26 minutes, this episode is a follow-up to the first.

           When Xin reached the shack, he was surprised to find another person looking like Piao sitting calmly beside the hearth. Still remembering his friend’s fresh dying image, he was certain that the man wasn’t Piao. Noticing Xin, the man remarked his deduction on Piao’s death, but ignored Xin anyway, saying that they must flee now else there’s not enough time. In the confusion, an assassin came, revealing the man identity: King Ying Zheng. 

Kingdom [01] The Nameless Boy

Lasted for approximately 50 minutes, the episode shows an introductory to the life of Xin. 

Xin and Piao (Servant days)

           Xin was portrayed as a war-orphan, brought in by Mayor Li Dian as a servant in his household. There, he met Piao, a fellow orphan, skillful with his hands and quick with his mind. The two became fast friends. In the years they spent, by what initially was Piao’s initiative to serve the army in the future, they had thousands of sword matches in which half of those ended in draws and Piao taking the lead by one. One day, a palace minister passed by and was amazed by their tenacity, and saw a possible future in Qin country, if he were to take Piao into his service. Thus soon after, Piao was bought from Mayor Li Dian by the palace minister, promising him a place as an imperial officer. Promising to catch up to his friend soon, Xin watch Piao left for the palace with a new goal. However a month after, a rebellion broke out which lead to Xin finding Piao dying at his doorstep one night. After receiving Piao’s dying wish – a map – Xin sets out immediately. The map lead Xin to a shack by a riverbank and to his surprise, he found another Piao.
