King Ying Zheng delivering the final blow. |
When Xin reached
the shack, he was surprised to find another person looking like Piao sitting
calmly beside the hearth. Still remembering his friend’s fresh dying image, he
was certain that the man wasn’t Piao. Noticing Xin, the man remarked his
deduction on Piao’s death, but ignored Xin anyway, saying that they must flee
now else there’s not enough time. In the confusion, an assassin came, revealing
the man identity: King Ying Zheng.
Xin sorted out then, the truth behind Piao’s
death. Piao was hired as a double for the king of Qin, and due to the
rebellion, the assassin was sent to kill the king. However, the one who took
the fall was Piao while the Ying Zheng stayed hidden in Herbei Village. Xin
then accuse the king of leaving Piao to his death. The king validated his accusation,
relaxing the assassin into thinking that Xin would like to have the king dead
as well. Xin however declared that he’d have vengeance for Piao before killing
the king.
A fight broke off between Xin and the assassin, resulting in Xin’s
victory. However, before delivering the final blow, the assassin begged for his life using family to reason with Xin. When Xin began to waver, Ying Zheng stepped in, finishing the assassin leaving no room for sympathy. Soon after, an army once belonged to the king closed in on them,
leaving them no land to escape. Believing himself defeated, Ying Zheng offered
Xin to kill him and present his head to the army to secure himself to safety.
Xin refuses the offer, saying his decision will come after he get them both out
of the ordeal. Noting Xin inclusion of him, Ying Zheng decided to stay with
Xin.
